This Privacy Policy describes how Panchang AI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of our mobile application ("App"). By using the App you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Birth details: Name, date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth (city name, latitude, longitude). This information is stored locally on your device and used solely to generate your Vedic birth chart and personalised predictions.
- Gender: Used to personalise chart readings in accordance with Vedic astrology conventions.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device location: Approximate location (if permission granted) is used to calculate daily Panchang timings (sunrise, sunset, Rahu Kalam, etc.) for your city. We do not store or transmit your precise location to our servers.
- Usage analytics: We use Mixpanel to collect anonymised event data (e.g., screens viewed, features used) to understand how users interact with the App and improve the product. No personally identifiable information is linked to these events.
- Crash reports: We use Sentry to collect crash and error reports. These reports may include device model, OS version, and a stack trace. They do not include your birth details or personal information.
- Purchase information: Subscription and purchase data is processed by RevenueCat and the relevant app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We receive anonymised subscription status (subscriber / non-subscriber) but do not store your payment details.
1.3 Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not require account registration. You can use the App without providing an email address or phone number.
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your birth details to our servers. All chart calculations are performed on-device.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate your Vedic birth chart (Kundli) and daily personalised predictions entirely on your device.
- To calculate daily Panchang timings (Tithi, Nakshatra, Muhurta, etc.) based on your location.
- To display your subscription status and unlock premium features.
- To improve the App through anonymised analytics and crash reporting.
- To send you optional push notifications (daily Panchang alerts) if you grant notification permission.
3. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

4. Data Storage and Security
Your birth details and chart data are stored exclusively on your device using the operating system's secure local storage. We do not operate servers that store your personal or birth data. We implement commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information collected by third-party services from unauthorised access.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Delete your data: You can delete all locally stored data (birth chart, predictions, settings) from Settings → Delete My Data within the App. This action is irreversible.
- Push notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings or within the App.

7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
